Holla! 5 K

HOLLA! is an initiative dedicated to supporting education in the Anson County School System, inspired by the words of Frederick Douglass. It began in 2005 to create opportunities for underprivileged children. The founders invested personal funds to transform a 1920’s building in Morven, NC, into a modern resource center, offering community services such as mentoring, tutoring, and various cultural events. The center features facilities including a commercial kitchen, media center, and a tennis court for The HOLLA! Eagles. Additionally, HOLLA! Africa fosters cultural exchange and supports an orphanage in Liberia, enhancing global ties and education.
