Community Run/Walk to Support the Simpson Family

Online registration is now closed for in-person registration.  You are welcome to come tonight and pay the $10 donation at the door.  Thank you!   One of our Run Walk Brew club members, Christine Simpson, and her family were in a horrific accident resulting in the unbearable loss of their 8-year-old son/brother Gabriel as well as significant injuries to the other family members.

 

Their 11 yr old son Jeremiah, will be recovering for weeks from not only a broken ankle but also a broke heart. Mom Christine, a hairstylist, suffered a broken pelvis & arm which will keep her out of work for the foreseeable future while dad Kyle who works with underrepresented students is looking at months of recovery from surgery to repair nearly all of his ribs which were crushed.   It's an understatement to say there's a long road ahead for this family, not only recovering from their physical injuries but also the mental anguish in trying to cope with the loss of their son & brother.

 

We ask that you join us on 9/7 as we run/walk together as a community in support of the Simpson family.  100% of your registration fee will be donated to the Simpson family.

START TIME:  5:30 PM DETAILS:  This is an untimed, non-official run or walk.  Routes will be posted and emailed to everyone who registers.    VIRTUAL OPTION:  If you cannot join us in person then this option is for you.  100% of your registration will be donated to the Simpson family. Register for the Run/Walk. Complete the 5K (3.1 miles),  Run, jog, or walk any time and location that you choose. Submit your results online (top right-hand corner of the registration page under RESULTS) Select Community Run/Walk to Support the Simpson Family from the Results list.
