This event is not just a test of endurance, but an unforgettable journey through the rich history and stunning coast of Santo Domingo. The route is simply spectacular. From the majestic Malecón overlooking the Caribbean Sea to the charming Colonial City of Santo Domingo, each step is infused with the magic of this place. Running alongside the radiant blue of the Caribbean as the sun paints the horizon is an experience that will be etched in my memory forever. Crossing the floating bridge over the Ozama River was another beautiful moment. The view of the river flowing beneath, with the Colonial City in the distance, is an image that captures the very essence of this historic city. The cobbled streets and unique architecture of this old city transported us back in time, reminding us of Santo Domingo's rich heritage. 🏰 Passing through the tourist area of Sans Souci added a special touch. Here, the route is as beautiful as it is challenging, as we face a hill of approximately one kilometer around kilometer 11. However, by this point, the body is warmed up and ready to conquer any challenge. ✨ The organization of the event was impeccable. The security, signage, and logistics were up to the grandeur of this marathon. 🌊 This marathon is not only a test of endurance, but a celebration of the beauty and history of Santo Domingo. It was an honor to be part of this event and to discover the magic of this city from a unique perspective. 🌟 The Santo Domingo Marathon 2023 is much more than a race; it's an experience that connects you with the very essence of this wonderful city.

It was one of the great experience as a runner. Specially the volunteers were very helpfu in providing water during the whole 42 kms.

Excellent distance for strong runners next to the Caribbean sea and serounding by the people noise, every a few miles we got energize by the sound of beautiful merengue music. Breath taking. Viva Santo Domingo Corre.
