The 16th Annual Riverside Ride & KIDZFest is our awareness and fundraising campaign for Kiwanis Club of Victoria (KVOC) which serves the children of the world (based in Victoria, Texas) for over 77 years. Since 2009, KCOV has hosted the Texas cyclist community as a Recommended Ride. Following the ride, participants can grab lunch and a drink (beer available for riders over 21) included for all participants while listening to live music and watching presentations with Ballet Folklorico, Karate Academy, Texas Zoo, YMCA workout coaches, and the Children’s Museum. Food trucks will also be available.
No matter if you’re a recreational, novice, or pro cyclist, there’s a route designed with YOU in mind!
Short Rides - 9am
◦ Family 10K - families and non-competitive riders - built with the kids in mind - nature stops throughout the park to see the butterflies at the Hiller House, hoop it up at the Children’s Park, the newly renovated Duck Pond and so much more!!
Long Rides - 8am
◦ 20-mile ◦ 30-mile ◦ 40-mile ◦ 50-mile ◦ 60-mile
All routes are SAG supported safety and refreshment stops with port-o-lets, water, refreshments and assist with communication throughout the routes. Explore Beautiful Riverside Park, Historic Downtown Victoria, and for those on the 50 or 60 mile routes, the top of the Coleto Reservoir Dam and the "rolling hills" through the Guadalupe River river bottom near the historic ruins of the Mission Espiritu Santo.
Because Kids Need Kiwanis, KIDZFest is BACK for a 5th year!
From 10am-2pm, families can enjoy a fun, FREE outdoor expo event, including live music, bike rodeo, food trucks, and so much more!
