Raceway Woods 5K

Get ready to challenge yourself at the Raceway 5K & 10K race, or take a leisurely 3K walk through the historic Meadowdale International Raceway, now a 90-acre forest preserve in Carpentersville. Experience the beauty of old-growth forests and rolling terrain while racing along the paths of the original racetrack. You can also bring your dog for an energetic outing on the 3K or 5K course, or push your limits with two laps for a 10K.Your participation supports a great cause, with proceeds benefiting local charities through the Rotary Club of Carpentersville, including the Carpentersville F.I.S.H. Food Pantry and Operation Warm, which provides new coats for local kids in need.

Pre-packet pickup and in-person registration will be hosted at Main Street Bicycles in Carpentersville. Ensure you pre-register to claim an event t-shirt in your preferred size, as availability might be limited later, with shirts generally running small.

For race day, registration opens early, and the event will kick off at Raceway Woods Forest Preserve. The starting line is located at the northwest corner of Rte. 31 & Main St./Huntley Rd. Efficient parking management is in place, with designated areas north of Spring Point Dr. off Rte. 31. Look out for parking signs and guidance from volunteers. Carpooling is advised, and please allow at least 20 minutes for parking and registration to ensure a smooth start.
