Lion Roar 5k

The Amherst Lions Club of New Hampshire’s first annual Lion’s Roar 5K is a fund raising event designed as a fast course to get runners ready for future summer racing events.  The race course starts on Church Street by the town green, loops through several back roads and ends at the green.  This race is open to individuals age 13 and over.  All race proceeds will go to Amherst Lions Club Charity which is used to support local community members in need.

Race registration will open on April 1, 2022 with an early bird price of $20, this will last through 5/20/2022.  The regular registration period with a price of $25 will commence on May 21, 2022 through June 9, 2022 when on-line registration will close.  You will be able to register on-site until 30 minutes before the race for a price of $30.  The first 100 on-line registrants will also receive a race t-shirt.  All race participants will pick up the race bib on the day of the race, race bibs and race swag will be available for pick up from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM.

Race Route:  Start at Church St then go down Main Street, take a right on David Ln, then a right on Foundry St.  Take a left onto Boston Post Rd then bear right on New Boston Rd.  Take a right onto Flanders Rd, then a right onto Old Coach Ln followed by a left onto Jones St.  Finally take a right onto Mack Hill Rd back to the green at Church St.

Post Race there will be awards for first place in 3 age groups (13-18, 19-40, 41 and up) men and women.  Awards will be given around 11:15 AM.  There will also be a Lions BBQ on the Amherst Common going on after the race through the early afternoon, runners are encouraged to have their families come and support them and then enjoy some BBQ treats!
