LCA 5K & Bunny Color Run

Race Description
Gear up for the Inaugural Life Christian Academy 5K & Bunny Color 1 Mile Run/Walk in Sulphur, Louisiana on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Have an Eggsceptionaly colorful time with loved ones while you run, walk, stroller, or hop through the course.
 
Grab your friends and family for this unique event. This holiday-themed event offers a timed 5K and a 1Mile Color Run that is not timed. The course begins and ends at the Sulphur Heritage Square. The course winds through the subdivision off Pecan Street.
 
Proceeds from this event will benefit Life Christian Academy. The day’s events do not end at the finish line! There will be games, face painting, vendor booths, and music.
 
Registration fees
5Kilometers = $40 per person through April 5th; $45 on race day
1Miles = $25 per person through April 5th; $30 on race day
 
Packet Pick-Up
Registered participants need photo identification and the confirmation receipt from RunSignUp.com for packet pick-up. Proxy pickup is allowed for immediate family members, husband/wife/sibling, with identification.                    
Saturday, April 8, 2023 7:00AM – 7:45AM        1015 Ruth Street *** Please note the Friday, April 7th packet pickup is cancelled! 
If the registered participant is an LCA scholar, the packet will go home with them on Thursday. Non scholar participants can pick up the packet from Life Christian Academy on Thursday, April 6th from 3:00PM - 4:00PM.  
Race Day Schedule
7:00 AM – Registration & Packet Pick-up opens
7:45 AM – Registration & Packet Pick-up for LCA 5K closes
8:00 AM – LCA 5K begins
8:45 AM – Registration & Packet Pick-up for Bunny 1 Mile Color Run/Walk closes
9:00 AM – Bunny 1mile Color Run/Walk begins
9:15 AM – LCA 5K Awards approximately
 
Bib Assignments
●      Each runner will be issued a bib number at Packet Pick-Up. It is the responsibility of the runner to wear the bib during the race.
●      Race bibs are to be worn on front of abdominal area throughout the race.
●      Runners without bib numbers will not receive a time/score.
●      Please remember to fill out the Emergency Medical Information on the bib number.
 
Age Group Categories & Awards
Awards will be issued to the following categories for the 5K only:
●      Overall male and female
●      Top male and female runners in each age group:
1-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60 years and older
 
Registration Questions
All registrations and fees are non-refundable.
 
Shirts
Shirts are provided to registered participants of the LCA 5K & Bunny Color 1Mile Run/Walk. Shirts and specific shirt sizes are guaranteed if you register by March 23,2023.
 
Additional purchases of t-shirts can be made online at RunSignUp.com registration site, or Race Day Registration if available.
 
Weather
If there is lightning in the area, the race will either have a delayed start; route may be altered, or depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled.  If fog present, the visibility will determine if delayed start is necessary. The Race Director will make the determination.
If race is cancelled due to inclement weather, or other reasons the following will occur:
1)     Notification of cancellation will be sent to registered participants via email and posted on Life Christian Academy event Facebook page.
2)     All validly registered participants will be transferred to virtual run.
3)     Awards (overall, age group, etc) are not available to virtual registrants.
 
Parking
Parking available at the Grove, Henning Cultural Center, and the empty lot on 238 Cypress Street However, carpooling is recommended.  We encourage courteous behavior toward our neighbors, refrain from parking in grass or on the streets. No parking on Ruth Street, Pecan Street, or Cypress Street.
