Viking 5K-A Memorial Run for Captain Michael "Buzzy" Andersen

Celebrate the life of Captain Michael “Buzzy” Andersen, a beloved firefighter and passionate athlete. With 22 years of service in the Cortland City Fire Department and 15 years as a Fire Investigator, Buzzy's legacy is remembered through his love of running and canoeing. Known for coordinating and certifying numerous races, he also initiated the Cortland Pumpkin Run. Join in honoring his memory and raising awareness of the health risks firefighters face. The event takes place starting at the Fire Department on Court Street and features a course weaving through Cortland and nearby venues. Day-of registrations are accepted.
