Trans Sahara Marathon

Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with the Trans Sahara Marathon, set amidst the stunning landscapes of Morocco's Sahara Desert. Traverse through majestic sand dunes and serene palm groves across four exhilarating stages of this renowned 130 km Ultra Trail. Starting in the southeastern city of Zagora, known as the gateway to the Sahara, you'll be welcomed by the warmth of its people, explore traditional architecture, and savor exotic Moroccan cuisine.Participants will gather in Ouarzazate before venturing to Zagora, spending nights in the comfortable Ahansal Camp. Acclimatize to the desert environment, undergo essential equipment checks, and prepare for the challenge ahead. Each stage of the marathon offers a unique experience: a 30 km loop around the camp, a challenging 55 km stretch to Erg Massoufa, followed by 35 km to Erg Bougarn, and concluding with a rewarding 30 km to M’Hamid El Ghizlane.

Throughout the marathon, you'll be provided with breakfast and dinner at the camp, with hot water and tea available to refresh you after each day's journey.
