TCS Lidingöloppet

This is a longest distance 15 km that I participate in running event. I love everything with this race. The weather was perfect, sunshine 13-18 degree. The route was great, cheerful people along the way. Run & walk, up & down hills in my own pace with the greenery along the way, stop to say hello to a horse and enjoy the sea views. Many thousands ran in the race but I did not feel crowded at all. I filled in my energy at 5 & 11 km and after the finish line enjoy with snacks, warm & cold drinks and a beautiful medal.

not an easy 15 km but worth it.

Beautiful route with mixed trail and some good climbs. It was all well organized, from traveling to the check-in area and all the way to bag pickup and showers at the end. During the race, there are a lot of events and music which really cheers you up. Water and energy checkpoints every ~5k which is a good interval. Lots of people running which may feel a bit crowded at certain sections, but it also helps for your motivation during the whole race. I can really recommend this race, it was a great experience for me and I will probably do it again next year.

The route is mostly wider trails. I went with my everyday street shoes and it was all fine. There are some great climbs, especially towards the last 10-15k.
