Cycle Flanders Fields is based in the stunning seaside town of Nieuwpoort, located just 40 minutes away from Calais. With three different distances - 45km, 90km and 180km - this one-lap event offers something for athletes of all abilities. The 180K route partially follows the World Tour Classic ‘Ghent-Wevelgem’ course, giving riders the opportunity to ride the iconic cobbled streets and Kemmelberg. Beginning and ending in the city centre, the routes traverse the World War 1 front line towards Diksmuide, Ypres, and the Menin Gate. Throughout the course, riders will pass various monuments and cemeteries that commemorate those who lost their lives for freedom.
