Stop the Suffering, Start the Saving 5k/1 Mile

The annual run and walk event raises funds for Stop the Suffering, a charitable organization based in Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to saving animals at risk. Annually, they help around 500 dogs find homes and transport approximately 4,000 cats and dogs from rural shelters and puppy mills to rescue organizations. The organization covers vet care and boarding expenses among other costs essential for saving animals. They also support local spay and neuter initiatives to manage the pet population. This event occurs regardless of weather, however, severe conditions may lead to cancellation for safety reasons.
