A message from the race director, Troy Kirkman:

Southern Indiana 6K for Water was organized in 2020 as a team for World Vision's Global 6K for Water. Our team exists to encourage as many as possible to join thousands of others across the globe in our mission to bring life-changing, clean water and fullness of life to people in communities around the world.

​In 2020, our Southern Indiana 6K team ranked 34th out of 1,109 teams by raising $7,348 which provided CLEAN water to nearly 147 people in developing countries through World Vision Water projects.

​In 2021, 101 participants from eight Southern Indiana counties and one county in Northern Kentucky registered to be part of our Southern Indiana 6K team which, along with the generosity of many donors, resulted in our raising $10,250 for World Vision water projects, providing life-changing, clean water to 205 individuals.

​2022 was another great year for us! $9,150 was raised, providing CLEAN water to 183 people in the developing world. We had a great group of 81 team members!

​So, what is our goal for 2023? Let's work together as a team (of both 6K participants and donors) to provide 400 individuals in the developing world with access to clean water... something that many of us take for granted each and every day. This would require us to raise $20,000 through 6K registrations and donations. I have all the confidence in the world that our Southern Indiana 6K team can make this happen!
