Matt's Run

This 5k fun run is to remember and honor fallen Cedar County Sheriff's Deputy Matthew S. Chism, EOW 11-2-14. The money raised will go into Matt's Fund and be used by the Project 288 team in Cedar County to help raise awareness of Law Enforcement, safety and to reach out to our children and youth about issues like drugs, alcohol and bullying. Moneys raised will also go toward an annual scholarship given to two high school seniors in Cedar County. 

This will be our 10th and FINAL run! This year will be held at Stockton City Park and will be a block party type celebration. We will have 2 food trucks, bounce houses, corn hole, mini golf, yard games and more! There will also be a fire truck, ambulance and deputy cruiser there for the kids to check out. If anyone would like to run or walk, they may use the walking path around the park to do so but it isn't necessary. If the weather is bad, we will be in the lower level of the community building with limited activities. 

If registered by May 1st, will receive a t-shirt if desired. The option to purchase more shirts, long sleeve and hoodies are also available. You can still register after May 1st, but you may not order a shirt. Some will be available to purchase at the run but sizes and quantities will be limited.  

There will be free water available. We will have additional t-shirts, long sleeve and hoodies but sizes and quantities will be limited.  Blue Line bracelets and Matt stickers available for sale as well.

 The number one reason for the run is to honor our local hero, Deputy Matthew Chism. He died doing a job that he loved and that was very good at. Please join us and have a fun time honoring Matthew and all law enforcement! Thank you in advance and God bless!
