Jonny's Wagon 5K for the least of these

Jonny's Wagon is an outreach of My Daily Armor Ministries (*MDA)  that is partnering with communities to help end hunger in America. We help provide basic needs to the homeless and those living at or below the poverty line. The ministry currently conducts weekly community food drives to collect food to stock food pantries located around Louisville and surrounding areas. MDA and it's outreach ministries are all nonprofits and depend on donations by partners such as local area churches, community groups, local businesses, and willing individuals 

Last year the Jr leadership team organized a 5K run to raise money for their program to build and place additional food pantries in areas that are lacking and were able to work with the Mt Washington Lion's Club to provide pantries for several locations. In addition to putting up more food pantries the team was also able to provide a U-haul filled with food, water, and Walmart gift cards to those who were devastated by the tornados in Prestonville and Mayfield, KY.

This year the annual 5K will again take place  in Mt Washington at the Sports Complex. This year's goal is to raise money for the Jonny's Wagon Ministry to assist with costs related to warehousing food donations for distribution as well as helping provide holiday food baskets for the less fortunate. This run is not intended as a competitive race and everyone is welcomed to sign up and run/walk. Competitive runners can certainly use this as practice for futures races. We will be utilizing Terkhorn Timing, who will provide live results that will allow you to log on to your phone and immediately see your time the moment you cross the finish line.
