First Annual “Run for THEIR Life”

Join us for GFA World’s first official 5K “Run for THEIR Life,” benefitting the men, women and children of Asia and Africa who are fighting COVID-19!

Right now, thousands of people are dying every day in India alone. Mothers and fathers, who are already in poverty, aren’t able to provide food for their families because of lockdowns. Many are saying they fear starvation more than the coronavirus.

We want to help them, so we’re racing for their lives! Registration will help bring much-needed aid to families who are suffering from the effects of COVID-19 through our Compassion Services ministry, which will provide food and hygiene supplies to people in Asia and Africa. See how GFA World is helping people affected by COVID-19 in Asia and Africa. 

The race is a hybrid race! You can come to the GFA World headquarters in Wills Point, Texas, to run or walk alongside GFA World staff as we run for their lives, or you can race anywhere that’s convenient for you.

Here’s the current Schedule of Events:

5K Run In Person

Registration opens on June 18. The race will start at 8am on September 25th, on the campus of GFA World Headquarters outside Wills Point, Texas. 

5K Run Anywhere

Registration opens on June 18.

You can run ANYTIME and ANYWHERE between September 11 and September 25, the day of the in-person event.

If you’re timing your run, please make sure to get your time in BEFORE 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25.

 

What’s Included

Your registration includes a FREE T-shirt and a race bib—and the JOY of knowing you’re making a difference in a person—or maybe even an entire community’s—life!  In order to get your free T-shirt, you'll need to register before September 1.

  What is “Run for THEIR Life”?

Run for Their Life is the official 5K race of GFA World meant to raise funds to help impoverished and marginalized people in Asia and Africa live wholesome, healthy lives—transformed by the power of Jesus Christ’s love and compassion.

There are many people in the areas where GFA World serves who are stuck in poverty and in despair. They have no hope for a better future for themselves or for their children. We’re running to change their lives.

Why a GFA World 5K Race?

This race is a grassroots effort of GFA staff who love to run and want to help meet the needs of so many in the developing world. We hope to have hundreds join us in a big running fellowship with eternal purpose!
