Don't Fence Me in Trail Run

Kick off the trail running season with us on Saturday, May 11, on Helena's legendary South Hills trail system.

This race began 24 years ago as a small gathering to grow excitement for open space. It's now a major recreation event for people (and dogs!) of all ages.

Our iconic event has something for everyone. Persevere through the ups-and-downs of a challenging 30K, explore Mount Ascension City Park in the 12K, enjoy a fun loop in the 5K, or sniff the wild roses in the non-competitive 5K Dog Walk. No matter what event you undertake, you'll join a community celebration of open space, wildlands, and trail running. Cross the finish line at Pioneer Park and join a heartwarming party with food, live music, and family-friendly fun.

Funds raised by Don't Fence Me In support the South Hills trail system and Prickly Pear Land Trust. Bonus: Kids 12 and under register for free!
