Bluegrass Century

The Bluegrass Century will be held Saturday, August 24th and will offer three different routes for riders of all ages and experience levels.

Registration

Early Entry - February 3rd thru February 29th = $65

Spring Entry - March1st thru July 24th = $85 (July 24th is deadline for guaranteed t-shirt and Swag bag) 

Summer Entry July 25th thru August 21st =100.00

Friday Early Packet Pick-up / Day of Ride - Aug. 23rd/24th = $100.00

Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must sign a minor registration form. The event will offer a century route (100 miles), a metric with KOM/QOM challenge (66.8 miles), and a half metric (32 mile) route.

All riders will roll out with an 7 a.m. CT start and riders will be welcomed with fully stocked rest stops along the route no matter which distance a rider chooses.

Participants will only be able to register in person after August 21st. Walk-up registration will be available on Friday and Saturday morning the weekend of the ride.

Our Facebook Page will be used to communicate a lot of information and we will send out an email on BikeReg to all participants the week before the event with details or any changes. 

Event Packet Pick-up - 2 Options

Friday - August 23rd - Early Packet Pick-up (more information to come on this date)

Saturday - August 26th (day of ride) at Crosspointe Baptist Church from 6-6:45AM. Located at 550 Worthington Road, Owensboro KY 42301

Those who register before July 24th will be guaranteed a t-shirt and swag bag.

COVID-19 Protocol Statement

The Bluegrass Century will continue to operate in a manner consistent with sound public health guidelines. In addition to following all CDC COVID-19 protocols, BGC will follow state regulations and guidelines applicable to the local host communities. Our goal is to make each event environment as safe and risk free for our riders as possible, while still delivering exceptional experiences for everyone participating.

Day of Ride

The morning of the 24th, there will be light breakfast provided from 6-7 a.m. at Crosspoint as well as ice, water and Gatorade to fill up your bottles.  Be Real Sports (BRS) will have a tent for any last minute, minor tune ups for your ride.

SAG Stops - These details will also be posted at registration. Stops will be fully loaded with a variety of refuel foods and hydration.  All of these will have restrooms. Our volunteers will ask that you remove the top from your bottle when you need a refill.  There will be SAG Vehicles on the road to assist with any minor hiccups that you may encounter, or pick you up if you have a major mechanical issue. If you need assistance on the road, you can call the number received at registration and located in your packet.

We will have Ride GPS and course maps available on site Friday and Saturday for you to take. 

NOTE: The Bluegrass Century ride and route will NOT be supported after 4:30pm.

Post Ride -

We will have lunch waiting for you upon your return back to the church. There will also be live entertainment periodically throughout the afternoon for you to enjoy. We also have a few showers on site if you would like to clean up a bit before you get back into your car for a long drive. You will have to provide your own towel and toiletries for this. If you use the showers, please know a donation is also appreciated.
