Big Country CASA’s Superhero 5K/1K Fun Run

It's 2024 and that means Big Country CASA's 5k Fun Run is 5 months out!

Join us on Saturday, May 4th @ ACU Campus for a SUPER FUN time!

  Why Run?

We believe all children should be supported and feel safe and for the children experiencing abuse or neglect, this is not the case. The goal of our event is to increase awareness of our volunteer services advocating for children from Taylor County in the foster care system, to recruit new volunteers and raise funds to support our mission. All proceeds from this event directly support our mission.

 

Registration Fee: 

Timed 5K (13 & Over) $25.00

(includes 2024 race shirt, if registered by April 14, 2024)

 

Timed 5K (12 & Under) $5.00

(2024 race shirt can be purchased for $7.50, if registered by April 14, 2024)

 

Kids Untimed 5K (12 & Under) FREE

(2024 race shirt can be purchased for $7.50, if registered by April 14, 2024)

 

Chase the Villain (11 & Under) FREE 

(2024 race shirt can be purchased for $7.50, if registered by April 14, 2024)

 

*Registration DEADLINE to guarantee 2024 Runner shirts CLOSES APRIL 15, 2024 @ 5pm!!! 
All registrations AFTER deadline will be given overflow shirts in various colors. Size and color NOT guaranteed after 4/15/24

 

Race Details:

Entrance and parking from N. 16th Street. NO ENTRANCE from Judge Ely Blvd.Race day check-in & day-of registration tables open on Saturday, May 4th @ 7:45am. Runners will be released in waves starting with Elite Runners.All participants will follow our designated course around the ACU neighborhood & Campus.Awards will be given to top Male & Female runners in each age category 

*PLEASE NOTE: Race route WILL include running on city streets!! Please be aware of motorist at all times and monitor children closely!!

 

Runner Bag / Shirt Pick Up:
(Reminder - Race t-shirts color /size will be guaranteed ONLY to those registered by 5pm April 15, 2024)

Friday, May 3rd from 12 - 6pm @ Star Dodge Dealership @ 5001 S. 1st St.

 

All participants are encouraged to dress up in a superhero theme and show your superhero spirit!  
“Every child needs a hero, but children experiencing foster care need SUPERHEROES!”

  Awards for CHIP TIMED Participants include:
Overall Top Male & Female (any age, overall fastest): Trophy & $100 Gift Card
Top Male & Female Youth (17 and under): Medal for age category & $50 Gift Card
Top Child (fastest boy OR girl 12 or younger): Medal for age category & $25 Gift Card
