I have run this race since 2011. I skipped only in 2015. In 2013 i ran my first marathon, the other races where half-marathon. It's really nice. Could improve, but it's nice :)

Marathon-Tourist.de - The course in Bucharest is flat and car-free, but spectator support is largely absent. The visual highlights are the Palace of Parliament and the Arc de Triomphe. The rest is not very exciting. At least there are plenty of trees along the roadsides that can provide shade in hot weather. You can find a detailed report here: www.Marathon-Tourist.de

What an amazing race through Bucharest. A fast parcour with incredible views. The organisation, the volunteers and the support of the locals were awesome. I surely want to come back. I am proud that I was a part of this race. Surely One of the best races

Not too crowded! well organised start, easy to reach in the morning! absolutely closed roads, and almost everywhere people cheering up! Lots of music live and by audio systems to keep you moving Not entirely flat but nothing too hilly! Great finish area with big expo there! Bucharest is well connected directly to most European countries, easily found budget accommodation and high quality food. Weather was a bit warmer than usual, but nothing extreme :-)

Guntime instead of real time has been given, despite the low number of participants to start which makes timing flows less expected. Start line was fitted with two lines of timing mats indicating a realtime timing, but this didn't happen at least to our team members with time added from 3-4 minutes from our Garmin data.

Very nice marathon! I recommend it! Bucharest is a very nice city and the marathon course a great way to explore it. 4/5 because the expo was rather poor; not many energy gel brands to chose from etc etc...

very, very nice course. You get to see much of the city and you go through some lovely parks!
