About the event
In North America, the Continental Divide traverses from northwestern Canada to Mexico, marking the water flow divide between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Following a 1968 federal plan, the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDT) is steadily advancing. A picturesque section in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest between Homestake and Pipestone is complete, offering breathtaking rock formations. A race held here annually commemorates John "the Wulfman" Wulf of the Piss & Moan Runners. Proceeds from the event fund trail maintenance, local emergency, search, and rescue efforts, as well as youth running programs, while ensuring a memorable race experience for participants.
