Vicente's 5K - FL

Vicente Medina was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, friend, and community leader. He loved fiercely, and that included the great city of Sarasota. In his 21 years as a resident, he was fiercely involved in many groups and foundations to uplift the community.

On January 27th, 2023, he was unexpectedly and tragically taken from us. We wanted a way to honor him that was not only for us, but the friends and community that also mourn his absence. Vicente was an avid runner, having just recently completed a 10-year goal to run 100 races, ranging from 5Ks to triathlons.

And, so Vicente’s 5K was born.

Our goal to raise as much money as possible for two foundations that were very near and dear to his heart, The Sarasota Literacy Council and The Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the Suncoast. All proceeds will go to funding these great causes, and continue Vicente’s dream even after his passing:
