About the event
It's The Wild Horse, of course, and it's all about that course, of course! Coming back for its, like, a millionth year, The Wild Horse will rise up again this spring to neigh and whinny and prance and shit on your trails. One of Utah's longest-running gravel rides, The Wild Horse will test your early-season legs on one of two beautiful and hurtful loops around the Cedar Mountains Wilderness Study Area in Tooele County, UT.
There are two rides, the 76-mile Big Horse and 35-mile Little Horse. The Big Horse takes you south to Rydalch Pass, just kissing the northern edge of the Dugway testing range before sweeping you north along the mountains.
The Little Horse shoots riders up and over Hastings Pass with the Big Horse Riders before hanging north and scooting along the foothills near I-80. Both rides give you a magnificent view of the Basin and Range province and the ancient bed of Lake Bonneville.
Just like last year, Ebikers are welcome on the Little Horse course and will have their very own podium (how cute!).
Join us on April 15th to shake out the legs and loosen your fillings at The Wild Horse! #ridewildhorse
