About the event

Experience the thrill of 3 races in 3 days on the stunning island of Bermuda. For over 45 years, runners from every corner of the globe have made the journey to this tropical paradise for the Chubb Bermuda Triangle Challenge. With options including a mile race, a 10k walk/run, a half or full marathon, and the adventurous Half or Full Bermuda Triangle Challenge, there is something for all levels of runners.
The newly designed PwC Bermuda Marathon course is now World Athletics certified and a Boston Qualifier, offering participants a scenic tour of the island, starting at the historic Royal Naval Dockyard and finishing in downtown Hamilton. The PwC Bermuda Half Marathon is an ideal training run for upcoming marathons like Boston and London, providing a warm escape from the cold northern winter weather. While January weather in Bermuda can be unpredictable, you can expect an average high of 70F and an average low of 60F, with more than half of the days filled with clear skies and sunshine.
The Chubb Bermuda Triangle Challenge has been revamped with an enhanced Race Expo, improved on-course support (complete with RUM STOPS on the half marathon and marathon routes!), lively entertainment, and exciting post-race finish festivals. Make the Chubb Bermuda Triangle Challenge your ultimate RUN-cation. Are you ready to take on this unforgettable challenge?

Course details

Course highlights

Marathon - Runners will run along the scenic, quiet Bermuda Railway Trail for approximately 4.3 miles through Somerset and into Southampton, leaving the trail briefly to run over the iconic Somerset Bridge, the world’s smallest drawbridge. The course will pass by some of Bermuda’s most famous beaches, including Horseshoe Bay, Jobson’s Cove, and Warwick Long Bay. Half Marathon - Participants will run east toward Front Street and Trimingham Hill. Runners will then turn east on South Shore Road and continue on the scenic South Shore Road for approximately 4 miles. Runners will then turn left on Devil’s Hole Hill Road to Harrington Sound Road where the runners will head west. The course continues into Flatts Village and runs along the beautiful and scenic North Shore Road for approximately 4.5 miles. At the end of North Shore Road, runners will turn left onto St. John’s Road and back toward the finish on Pitts Bay Road at Barr’s Bay Park. 10K - Runners will head south on Montpelier Road to Middle Road, take a left and continue east on Middle Road into Flatts Village. Runners will then turn onto North Shore Road and follow until they reach the Barkers Hill roundabout, then head up Palmetto Hill. Runners will follow Palmetto Road west, take a left onto Frog Lane and follow Frog Lane back to the finish at the North Field. 5K - Runners will head south on Montpelier Road to Middle Road until they reach Parsons Lane. They will take a left on Parsons Lane and run up Barkers Hill, through the scenic Ocean View Golf Club, until they reach the Bermuda Railway Trail. Here, they will take a right onto the Railway Trail for a brief out and back, giving them a bird’s eye view of the Atlantic Ocean, before continuing west on the Railway Trail to join the 10k course on Palmetto Road. From here, the 5k course traces the 10k course back to the finish: runners will follow Palmetto Road west, take a left onto Frog Lane and follow Frog Lane back to the finish at the North Field.
