The Bill Scott Memorial 5K Walk/Run

The event is held in memory of William "Bill" Scott Jr., former President of the Syracuse Teachers Association and longtime advocate for education. Participants gather at Burnet Park, a place Bill favored for running, to compete in a race that furthers his legacy of support for education. Proceeds fund a scholarship for a Syracuse City School District senior pursuing a degree in Psychology or Human Services. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers, fostering a spirit of competition and community in honor of Bill's dedication to making a difference through education and social work.
