Rae of Sunshine 5K

This event, created in memory of Raeann Rose Merlino, raises funds for a scholarship in her name. Raeann was known for her joyful spirit, love of dance, animals, and friendship. The course takes participants through the streets of Hughestown, ending at the Pittston Area Primary Center. Features include pre-race packet pickup, organized hydration support, and T-shirt giveaways for early registrants. An awards ceremony follows the run, offering cash prizes for top finishers and medals for division winners. The event also includes recognition for participants in a walking category, ensuring inclusivity in Raeann’s celebration.
