About the event
The 2024 Newry City Half Marathon and 10k will both take place on Sunday 26th May. The Half will start at 10am and the 10k at 10:30am. Race numbers will be capped at 1000 for the Half and 600 for the 10k and both events are expected to sell out well in advance, so organisers Newry City Runners encourage everyone to enter early to avoid disappointment.
The 13.1-mile course takes in a scenic coastal route starting along the historic Newry Quay, outside of The Quays Shopping Centre, Newry before heading down to Warrenpoint and the historic Narrow Water Castle on the scenic canal carriageway. The route has been designed to be fast and flat with definite personal best potential.
Our 10k route, with the same start and finish as the Half is lightening quick, with a straightforward flat, fast approach used.
