Maine Stands Strong 5k

We will have day of registration for $20 for the 5k and $5 for the kids run, registration opens at 8:15 am and runs until the start of the 5k at 9:15 am.

Hi Everyone! We are so glad you're joining us on Sunday!

Here is some helpful info:

Address to the park:
5 Durant Drive in Scarborough.
You'll drive past the Memorial Park to Scarborough High School's parking lot, the walk from the parking lot to Memorial Park is about 1/10 mile, please allow enough time to get to the park. 

Start Times: 
Kids fun run starts at 9 am followed by the 5k at 9:15 am.

Bathrooms:
The concession stand has 2 bathrooms one on the front and back side in addition to 2 portable toilets. 

Water Stop:
The water stop is approximately at the half way mark.

Awards:
Top 3 places for male and female will be awarded. 

Amenities:  
All kids will receive a bib, glow in the dark medal, and kid size lemonade.

All 5k participants will receive a 32oz fresh-squeezed lemonade and a ticket to the participant raffle. 

FAQ:
Are well behaved dogs and running strollers allowed?
Yes! Please start in the back and towards the left side at the start of the event. 
Should I bring money?
Yes! There will be items for sale in the park and we encourage you to check out the Scarborough Farmers market just up from the park.
When do the awards and raffle start? 
We expect to start the awards at 10:15 am and the raffle by 10:30 am.

Maine Stands Strong 5k celebrates the resilience of Mainers and supports one of the groups hardest hit by Covid 19, Health Care Workers. 

Join us on Sunday Oct 24, 2021 in Memorial Park in Scarborough as we support Maine healthcare workers!

This is the same USATF certified 5k course used by other local races. The 5k begins and ends in Memorial park in Scarborough. Parking is at Scarborough High School.

The kids fun run is a loop around the park (about 1/4 mile) with all kids receiving a glow in the dark medal when they finish!

We award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male/female and then will have a raffle for all participants. All 5k participants are automatically entered (must be present to win).

We will have live music and "Nurses Lemonade Stand" will provide fresh squeezed lemonade to all 5k participants!

Hot coffee will be available before and after the event along with homemade chocolate chip cookies. 

We reserve the right to make changes to the event as needed and would offer full refunds if the event needed to be cancelled for any reason.
