Jersey Gravel Grinder

Join us for Jersey's own epic gravel grinder!

Routes feature a perfectly mixed all surface ride including plenty of dirt, gravel and paved roads and potentially some singletrack in Mega route. All routes 45% -  75% unpaved. We'll mark every turn in the with Arrow Signs. So while many riders simply follow the signs, we'll also provide free use of our RideWithGPS event account, so you can follow the route with visual and audio cues while riding. FIT or GPX files can be downloaded from RideWithGPS to upload to your bike computer of choice.

In an Enduro/Grand Fondo style, you'll be competing for the fastest combined time for specific timed segments, rather than complete ride time. There will be three signs for each Strava segment - Approaching, Start & End. So you'll know when to start going full out and for when you've completed each segment. You can choose to either ride the whole route all out or chill and enjoy the scenery and just hammer the competitive timed sections.

Registration includes custom JGG swag, mid-loop Hot Coffee or Double Espresso (Adventure & Mega), Post Race Meal & entry into Prize Raffles. Raffle prizes from our sponsors may include helmets, tires, sunglasses, pumps, jerseys, shirts, socks, water bottles, caps & more.

Like our routes, we produce different custom JGG swag for each event. Past editions we've had Pint Glasses, Coffee Mugs, Water Bottles, Socks, Neck Gaiter, Arm Warmers, Stuff It Bags & Key Chain/Bottle Openers.  We're working on something special for the 2024 Jersey Gravel swag and will announce details soon.

ROUTES

We change up the routes for each edition of Jersey Gravel. Routes will be distributed to racers prior to event. Jersey Gravel Grinder routes and segments are changed for every edition of the event. Below are routes from the 2023 Jersey Gravel to give you a good idea of what to expect. The New MEGA XL route will feature the addition of trails & unpaved roads that haven't been in any other Jersey Gravel.

 

 

 

STRAVA Race Segments

We're using Strava segments for timing our 2024 races. 

Mega has 6, Adventure 4 & Soul 2 segments.

To ensure you're in the segment leaderboard make sure to do the following:

Get a Strava account (free one is fine though there are plenty of cool features in the paid version)Join the RSGA Strava clubMake sure your rde settings are set as "PUBLIC" (Strava's privacy protocals will exclude you)Autosync your ride to STRAVA so it uploads when you finish JGGD  (RideWithGPS App users can also be set up to auto sync to Strava by following these instructions)

Transfers, Category Changes & Deferrals

We know that some times things change.  So we offer a full range of options for you. 

Deferral or Transfer must be up to 14 days prior to event. Category change up to 7 days prior. 

Deferral from May 11 to September 29 or to May 2025 - 30% of original registration feeTransfer registration value to another rider with $15 processing fee. Change Category with $10 processing fee. (Subject to availability in category)

Aid Stations

Every 20-30 miles, and will be well stocked with GU Gels, Skrach Hydration, Water, Coke, Granola Bars, Swedish Fish, Pickle Juice and more. Aid Station 1 will have fresh hot Pancakes & Maple Syrup.

Post Race Awards Party

All registrations include a hot meal from the Taco Truck.

Individual Age Group Awards

Awards based on Category & Age Group.

Winner certificates will be emailed post event.

Results based on combined time of all race segments in your race category.
