Irish American 5 & 10k Road Race

Please join us this Labor Day for a great summer tradition of running and cheer!  The Malden Irish American club will once again be raising money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute by sponsoring our annual 5K & 10K road races.  We will be running on a (mostly) flat course that winds through Malden’s Edgeworth neighborhood, skirting the Malden-Medford border.  The certified course is well marked with numerous volunteers and police escorts directing you all the way.  Medallions are awarded for 1st & 2nd place finishers(M&F) in both the 5K & 10K races: 17 & under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & over.  The entry fee is $40 and includes a T-shirt.  Music, entertainment, food and plenty of libations are available for runners and race fans alike.  Numerous sponsors including Doherty-Keane Construction, Obrien Construction & Remodeling, Brandano Plumbing, Stop & Shop and Anheuser-Busch.  Come down to the “IA” and meet up with old acquaintances and new friends.

Registration starts at 8:30 at the IA Club.
