Houghton's Pond Trail Race

The trail races take place over rolling courses comprised of dirt roads and forest paths in the scenic DCR Blue Hills Reservation, south of Boston. These races, organized by Colonial Road Runners, navigate trails with small rocks and tree roots. The events begin and end near the Houghton's Pond Visitor Center, overlooking the pond, featuring a total elevation change of about 700 feet. Portions of the race proceeds support Friends of the Blue Hills, dedicated to maintaining and protecting the reservation's trails.
