About the event

The point-to-point course is run along Clear Creek and is a scenic and gently rolling mountain course that winds down the Clear Creek Valley. The course runs along the frontage road that runs parallel to, but well away from I-70. Vehicular traffic on the course is normally minimal, however be aware that the road is not closed to traffic.

Credit : John Hutchinson Alec Baldwin took top spot in 01:09:11, followed by Jackson Friesth who finished with a time of 01:10:35. Finishing third was Sam Beal (01:11:20). For the women, it was Elizabeth Starbuck who took the top spot in 01:23:01 . She bested Ashley Arigoni who crossed the finish line 3 minutes 40 secondes behind her. Finishing third was Jodie Ruyle (01:27:47). Results: Chu, Crouse cruise in Colorado

Credit : Don Graham Half Marathon results Steve Chu (1:09:41) bested more than 1,500 runners to win the Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon along Clear Creek in Colorado. Runner-up Bob Weiner repeated in second place with a time of 1:12:19. Frank Therrian (1:15:25) finished less than 30 seconds ahead of Campbell Ilfrey (1:15:53) for third. Therrian finished sixth a year ago. For the women, it was Malia Crouse (1:19:26) coming in first. She was the only runner to finish under an hour and 20 minutes. Deborah Vanderstoep completed the course in 1:23:36 to secure second. Sarah Villasenor took third with a time of 1:24:45.
