Freedom Firecracker 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run

Get ready for an invigorating challenge at the newly branded IMDC Freedom Firecracker 5k and Sparkler 1 Mile, hosted at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center in Manassas, VA. With limited spots available, early registration is recommended to secure your place on the starting line. This athlete-focused event offers a dynamic racing experience, complete with a 5k run starting at 8:30 and a non-timed 1-mile run/walk beginning at 9:30. Participants receive a custom race shirt, medal, and digital finisher’s certificate. Prove your competitive edge and aim for top placement, as the top 3 men and women overall will earn Running Store gift cards ($75, $50, $25), along with the top three finishers in each 5k age category. Enjoy post-race rewards like a complimentary Kona Ice, courtesy of IMDC, and a fun photo booth to capture those post-race celebrations.

The race features pacers for those targeting 20:00, 25:00, and 30:00 goal times, ensuring you stay on track. The 5k course has a 55-minute limit (18 min/mile). For your safety, a water station is positioned at the 1.5-mile mark, and small bottled water will be available post-race.
