About the event
At the Fiducia & GAD Baden Marathon, which has been taking place since 2018, participants can enjoy a fast and flat route around Karlsruhe. This scenic course passes by the Karlsruhe Palace, through the city center, the new City Park East, various districts, and the Oberwald recreation area. The full marathon consists of two laps, with the last 8 kilometers being identical to the last third of the first lap of the half marathon. Upon completion, finishers are welcomed to the Carl-Kaufmann Athletics Stadium, the “Runner's Heaven,” which has food, drinks, and large lawns for relaxation. Over 1,000 dancers from 40+ dance teams will provide inspiring entertainment throughout the race, and participants have the option to donate money to any social project of their choice via the “Laufen mit Herzen” (“Run with our heart”) campaign. Lastly, a family program is offered the day before the marathon with activities for children ages 3-15, and registration is available on the day of the event.
