Eker I Run Marathon

Take your running to new heights and experience picturesque views of the surrounding mountains with the Eker I Run Uludag Marathon!This scenic road track, one of the Turkey's first downhill marathons, leads runners from the 1793m elevation of the Uludag hotels zone to the flat 117m elevation of Eker Square. This 18.7km stretch offers runners plenty of elevation challenges, with 550m of ascents and 2.230m of descents. Water supply points are distributed along the route every 5km, and runners will have the option of leaving or receiving their drop bag at the 21km mark, situated at 900m elevation.

Downhill marathons are known to foster faster runs than level races, and Eker I Run Uludag Marathon is no exception. Its initial 10 km takes place above 1500m elevation, while the culminating 10 km dips below 300m elevation with only minor uphills. This makes it the perfect event for runners looking to prove their mettle while minimizing the sensation of a high elevation run.
