It was a good experience to run the Daegu Marathon. Love the route and the medal. Good vibes trough the whole run.

The operation was not good. It was very crowded because the marathon and 10km started together. It was so hard to get water every 5km. The weather was hot, too

Good track, wonderful weather on the day of the race. Many commercial terms were organized at the site, as well as a free testing. One of the disadvantages is the organization of competitions. BIB for foreign competitors were given on the day of the competition, and the young employees did not know how to cope with the queue. Many foreign participants were very nervous because they were late for the start of the race. We were given sheets where we entered our name and a random number (not the one that was assigned during registration). Due to this problem, it was not possible to fully warm up before the race. T-shirts of the right size run out quickly, starter packs were collected on the spot from boxes. At the end of the race, the medals were not given at the finish line, but you had to go far and stand in the crowd to pick up your medal. Also there wasn't any english navigation and it was big problem. Many competitors during the race abruptly switched to a step and had to change the pace. Also, some walked 3-4 people in a row, blocking the road. Before the finish, already at the stadium, for some reason, many just walked, which greatly hindered. It was impossible to outrun them. The organizer has a lot to work on, I hope they will work on the mistakes before the next race.

This was my first half marathon and an amazing experience. The crowd was very positive and cheerful, the route was also quite scenic.

We took the bullet train from Seoul the day before the race and stayed near the stadium at the ACT Tourist hotel - very clean and modern - would recommend. It was about half a mile or so to the start. Website was not very detailed. Packet pickup was inside the stadium, but we did not know what time we could go since the email did not provide that information, and there was no information on the website. There may have been information on the Instagram stories, but we did not understand Korean. Use the voice recognition on a translator app when watching the YouTube videos from their IG stories. We walked to the stadium and just asked around until we found it in a room inside of the stadium. There was no expo. All of the streets were closed for the race. The elite marathon runners started at 9 a.m., but corral B started around 9:15. The half started around 9:35 a.m. For the half marathon, you had to take a subway back to the start. This was not on the website. The water stops were there, as indicated on the map. Everyone was helpful, and the signage on the course indicated where to turn for the full and the half.

My watch had my length at 26.22 miles. Never been that close before. The course had some long uphills. But not too steep. Wind was at our back for the second part of the race for the most part. I did not see the pacers at the start of the race. However, I did see them once we got started. Not sure how I missed them as they ran with giant balloons.

There should be more English translation in all announcements via social media and signages.

I’d finished the race with the time of 5hr and 48min. I wasn’t counting the seconds for the marathon but I’d appreciated how the whole event turned out. I’d like to thank every one that helped organized the event (You are awesome!) and also to those that help hand out food and drinks while I was doing my marathon. I couldn’t have gotten far without your help.:)

The marathon was 42km(26miles). The marathon was either on the street or freeway. For every 10km there is a machine that would show you the time of your progress. Also, there are some machines that can track your progress but not give you the time to be displayed. Overall, an excellent marathon

Enjoyed the route Bib pick up was a disaster, one check-in, and no one seemed to know what to do, 25 minutes in the line. Sponsors gift of slides, was no wear to be found, so never received them, even when we asked at the Sponsors tent

This is the worst Marathon event I have attended ever. It's very unfriendly for the international runners. You can only get the race package in the event day and there is a long queue. You need to wait for at least 30mins to get the BIB number. Yes, the BIB number was assigned in the event day. After registered the BIB, you can get the package. There is a group information on the BIB but they just randomly give you the BIB without considering which group you should be in. If so, why did they check your past record? This whole process takes 1 hour and you are not able to catch up the start time. There is no brochure showing the details so you don't know where and how to store your stuff. All the signs are in Korean. There is supposed a slipper as the souvenir, but we didn't get it and no one told us why. I need to find a staff who can speak English and were informed the slippers are not enough for every attendees. If so, why did they check your slipper size?
