About the event
The Salem Wildcat Booster Club is hosting a sprint triathlon and 5K on Sunday, August 4, 2024. The event will be held at the Salem Family Aquatic Center located at 1287 Gar Drive in Salem, IL. The triathlon will begin at 7:30am and will feature a 400 meter serpentine pool swim, a 13 mile fast out and back bike ride up Highway 37, and a 3.1 mile run. The 5K race will begin about 5 minutes after the final swimmer exits the pool and will use the same route as the tri. This is a beginner friendly course for new triathletes, and an opportunity for a PR for those more experienced triathletes.
*Due to this event being a fundraiser, there will be no refunds or transfers. Thank you for understanding.
Packet pickup will be Saturday, Aug 3, 5-6pm and race morning beginning at 6:30am.
