Angry Bear 5K

Run for your life & help us restore the roar with a quick family friendly fun-run before the annual spring awakening, Festival of the Angry Bear!  Join Ore Dock Brewing Company in conjunction with Queen City Running Company for our third annual Angry Bear 5K.  Get your boogie on and then stop by to enjoy a pint as we wake the bear from hibernation for Festival of the Angry Bear.  WATCH FOR BEARS! Costumes are not required, but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!

After the race, to kick off the festival, we will be hosting an awards ceremony in the Ore Dock's upstairs Community Space. Participants will each receive a 2023 Festival Cup, there will also be an extra special prize for with category winners and the best costumes so don't skimp on the fur!

Donations & a portion of proceeds from the race will go to Special Olympics of Michigan Area 36 (somi.org)

Registration will be open until 12:30pm on race day with a booth at Ore Dock for bib and cup pickup during the following times:

5pm-7pm Thursday, 4/114pm-6pm Friday, 4/1210am-12:30pm Saturday, 4/13

All bibs must be picked up by 12:30pm the day of the run, runners meet by the Fireman's Bell Tower at 12:45pm. This is an out-and-back race, so the race will start and finish on the bike path at the intersection of Main Street and Lake Shore (just south of the Bell Tower), then it will follow the bike path along Marquette's shoreline to picnic rocks and back. After, head back to the brewery to quench your well earned thirst during awards.*

*While this is a family friendly run, we ask that all minors are off of "festival grounds" at 3pm when awards wrap and we open the gates to let all the beer drinking bears in.
