Tromsø Mountain Challenge

Experience the thrill of mountain running in the breathtaking landscape of Tromsø at the Tromsø Mountain Challenge (TMC). This event features four mountain races over the course of a weekend, celebrating the spirit of mountain running.Begin your TMC adventure with the Extreme Race, a 2.4km uphill run along the famous Sharpa Stairs in Tromsdalen. Built by Sherpas from Nepal, this challenging race finishes at the Cable Car station 420 meters above sea level.

On Ultraday, participants can choose between the Tromsø Mountain Ultra 50K and HalfUltra 25K races. Run through the unique Arctic terrain, passing through an active reindeer herding district with a rich history of Sami reindeer herding.

Conclude the weekend with the Tindløp, a 10.6km uphill race starting in Tromsdalen and culminating at the popular Tromsdalstinden peak, standing at 1238 meters above sea level.

For the most adventurous spirits, take on the ultimate challenge of the TMC-Triple, consisting of the Extreme Race on Friday, Ultra 50K on Saturday, and Tindløpet on Sunday. Get ready for an unforgettable weekend at the Tromsø Mountain Challenge!
