RACE DESCRIPTION

Join the Seashore Striders for this early spring event on the beautiful GORDON'S POND TRAIL of Cape Henlopen State Park. Choose between the 3.1 mile 5k course or the longer 10-mile course.  A great training long run for the Seashore Classic 1/2 Marathon in early May.  The start/finish area is located at FT MILES in the Center of the Park across from the tower.  Follow race signs to the Ft Miles Museum Parking Lot.  See you on the Starting Line for the 18th annual! 10 Mile Course  CLICK HERE 5k Course  CLICK HERE

The 18th Shamrock Shuffle 5k/10m is a flat & fast course through Cape Henlopen State Park on the Lewes side of the park.
 

 

SAFE RUNNING & RACING

The Seashore Striders encourage you to run & race safely during the Shamrock Shuffle 5k/10m and remember the trails are not closed for the race.   All trails are open to the general public.

 

RACE TIMING:

Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

AWARDS:

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following age categories: 5k...9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Relay Awards...Top 3 Male, Female & Co-Ed Divisions

 

RELAY INFORMATION

The NEW Relay Division will feature Male/Male, Female/Female & Male/Female Divisions.  Runners will wear a timing chip on their ankle and manually switch the chip at the 5.0 mile turnaround point at Herring Point. Runner #1...Bib # without a chip & timing chip on ankleRunner #2...Same Bib # with a chip & timing chip on ankle In the Team Packets will be: 2 bibs of the same # one with a timing chip for runner #2A timing chip also of the same #2 t-shirts1 race map No electronic Splits, however a clock will be at the turnaround for you to see your splitTransportation to the turnaround point at Herring Point & back to Ft Miles Start/Finish is on your own so please plan accordingly. The distance is 1 mile from the start/finish to the relay split.

 

REFUNDS/DEFERRAL  

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:  1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.   2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.  3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.  Thank You for your cooperation & understanding as some situations are beyond the control of the Seashore Striders as we do not own every event we produce.
