Rucking Division

In addition to a running division, we offer a rucking division. Rucking is walking with a weighted backpack/ruck on your back.

If competing for the top 1-3 places for male, female and non-binary, you must meet the minimum dry weight requirement inside your backpack/ruck before anything else, including food and water. We recommend a ruck plate of some sort but it's ultimately up to you. Other options for weight include dumbbells, sandbags, or weight plates. Weight vests and ruck plate carriers are allowed.

Men and Non-Binary Adults - 30 poundsWomen - 20 poundsKids - 10 pounds (Ages 8-17); 5 pounds (under 8)

If not competing for the top 1-3 places, then the weight you carry is up to you.

Course

The course runs primarily along the Legacy Parkway Trail with an approximate 1.25 mile loop in the middle around an open grass field and is all paved. The race is professionally chip timed. The chips are attached to the back of your bib number. Bibs must be worn on the front of you in order to be accurately timed.

5K Route with a water station at the halfway point. There are bathrooms near the start and finish line just to the east of the pavilion.
