Moon Shadow 5K

Come join us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience on April 8, 2024 in Rochester, NY (Mendon) that promises to be unlike any 5K you've ever run before. The highly-anticipated Solar Eclipse will be directly overhead at 3:20 pm and will last for an astounding 3 minutes and 38 seconds. With between 375,000-500,000 visitors expected to flock to the City of Rochester for this unique event, we are thrilled to offer the Moon Shadow 5K at two different start times.

For those who want to experience the Solar Eclipse before the race, we will have a 3:25 pm start time.Alternatively, for those who prefer to run ahead of the eclipse, we will have a 2:00 pm start time.

Both events will take place on the picturesque Lehigh Valley Trail in Mendon, NY, and will have a cap of 350 participants each. We anticipate high demand for these events, so be sure to register today to secure your spot. Additionally, there will be plenty of pre-race and post-race activities for everyone to enjoy. We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we're offering a full refund for any participant for any reason until December 31, 2023. Please note that although this event falls on a Monday, many schools and businesses will be closed, making it feel like a Sunday. All participants will receive a custom Moon Shadow 5K shirt to commemorate this amazing day as well as a custom finisher medal once you cross the finish line. The first 100 registrants will receive the custom Mood Shadow 5K commemorative pint glass for free (we have reached the 100+ mark but we will have commemorative custom Pint Glasses available for sale on event day ($10). We will reveal the finisher medal once it has been designed.
