YFC Seeley Lake Challenge Triathlon/Duathlon

Get ready to dive into an exciting triathlon or duathlon event, perfect for athletes at any stage of their racing journey. With the triathlon set in open water, you'll find the temperature just right for a comfortable swim without needing a wetsuit. Enjoy a shaded trail run and a smooth bike ride on a paved county road. Every participant, including the young ones, will be equipped with timing chips, ensuring immediate access to your finish times both on paper and electronically.Leave your vehicle at Pyramid Mountain Lumber as the race site itself has no parking facilities. Avoid parking in unauthorized areas such as Boy Scout driveways. You can drop off gear at the road's end and either bike back to Riverpoint Campground or hop on a shuttle.

Stick around post-race for an awards ceremony that celebrates winners who ascend Olympic-style podiums for their medals.

Race fees cover your parking, shuttle service, T-shirt (with early registration), race chip, snacks, and medals for those who triumph.

Spectators can park for free and take a shuttle to the event. They’re encouraged to bring folding chairs, with a reminder to keep clear of the transition area; a trail is available for access from the spectator zone to the beach.

The triathlon accommodates all levels with swim distances of 150, 300, and 600 yards, and features a staggered start to prevent congestion. Thanks to chip timing, there's no need to stress about starting position.

The duathlon shares the scenic off-road running course and paved road cycling route with the triathlon.

For our young athletes, the Kids Triathlon begins once many adults have completed the main event. The kids follow the outer swim markers, can rest on the course if needed, and may wear life vests. Their bike segment traces the first portion of the adult run trail, which is prepped by mowing, while their run is an out-and-back format, finishing at the same line as the adults.
