What is Dream Mile?
The Dream Mile is a Run / Walk Fundraiser event for Vibha, with an anticipated participation greater than 5000 patrons across the world. The Dream Mile started in Atlanta in 1998 to support underprivileged children in their ambitions. Over the last 24 years, the Dream Mile has become a permanent fixture on the calendars of runners in various cities across America. To date, the Dream Mile has raised more than $3M to support upwards of 180,000 children. In addition to the causes above, the Dream Mile puts funds towards a cause in the local community in which it takes place such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta or Communities in Schools Chicago.
Who is it for?
The Dream Mile is for anyone who would like to walk or run a few miles to empower the dreams of underprivileged children.

All winners are based on Gun time** (See Chip time vs Gun time below).
Chip time vs Gun time:
Chip time is the actual net time a runner runs between start line and finish line.
Gun time is the net time when the race starts and time when the runner crosses the finish line.
If you are exactly at the start line when the race starts, then your chip time and gun time are the same.
If you cross the start line a little after race start, your gun time will be little more than your start time.
