What's Included?

This event is a casual evening of fun to support Tri-State Canine Response Team.  Registering for this event includes 1 Modern Brewed Classic Beer, Classic Cars, Food (Classic!), Live Classic Rock Music by Exit 10, and participation in an optional 1 mile fun walk in Twinbridge Industrial park behind the Double Nickel Brewing Company, 1585 NJ-73, Pennsauken Township, NJ 08110.

What does Tri-State Canine Response Team do?

A child traumatized by a mass shooting in their school or church
A student afraid to return to school after a school bus crash
A woman in despair as she sits in a homeless shelter
A veteran who just needs someone to talk to
A man trying to remain positive after a quadruple bypass

These situations are faced daily by the compassionate handlers and dogs of Tri-State Canine Response Team at the facilities we visit.. Our dogs enable our caring volunteers to bridge the gap between people when circumstances make it so difficult for them to reach out and share their pain, worry, and sorrows with a stranger. Somehow, dogs are never strangers. They respond equally to a child reading to them on the floor in a library, a college student trying to decompress from exams, or a young man entered in the 50-yard wheelchair dash in the Special Olympics. Who would have guessed that being on the end of a leash with a highly trained therapy dog could be one of the most rewarding and important things one could aspire to do in their life?

In 2017, our teams provided 23,000 emotional support encounters to those in need. To put our teams on the ground, we incur costs from recruitment and screening of new members, training and education, insurance, background checks and fingerprinting, provision of uniforms/equipment, and travel expenses for deployments beyond our tri-state area. We have deployed to The Pulse shooting in Orlando, FL, The Harvest 91 Festival in Las Vegas, NV, The First Baptist Church shooting in Sutherland Springs, TX, Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting in Parkland, FL, and most recently to East Brook Middle School in Paramus, NJ following the fatal school bus crash.

We are an all-volunteer organization, so we must fundraise and ask for your support so we may continue to assist those in need in our local communities and beyond.
