The Black Fly - Vermont Gravel

The 4th annual Black Fly Gravel Ride - Vermont!  
 

Experience the ultimate grassroots community vibe, starting with a morning coffee to kick off your day. Located at an inclusive wedding barn venue nestled on 1000 acres, you'll ride through classic Vermont dirt roads (and a few class IV's) and hit up charming farm stops along the way — think Amish farm donuts, hand pies, The Vermont Reindeer Farm, and ice cream cookie sandwiches to name a few. The 40-ish mile course is clearly marked, with a GPX file provided for easy navigation. After the ride, indulge in some mouthwatering post-event grub from The Spicy Spoke, and enjoy drinks from Red Barn Brewery and Athletic Brewing NA. There’ll be live music and a fun barn dance to keep the good times rolling, plus homemade pies and cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth. To top it off, enter the post-event raffle with prizes benefiting North Woods Stewardship Center and Umbrella — all while celebrating the local community spirit!   And don't forget about Lake Willoughby — it's the ultimate spot for a post-ride cold plunge!

Just a heads-up, this isn’t a “race” and there are no timers — it’s all about enjoying a fun day on bikes with friends and supporting the local small-town communities. How fast you go is totally up to you, and EVERYONE is welcome! This ride celebrates local farms and businesses, and it’s all about getting outdoors, having fun, and supporting the places that make this area special.

Unfortunately, camping may not be allowed at the venue this year due to damage from vehicles last year.
