Run Back to School 5K - Manteo, NC

Join your friends on August 24th at 9am for an untimed, fun, "as competitive as you want to make it" 5K to get ready for the new school year!  Whether you have been part of the MHS "100 Mile Challenge" this summer or not, are running cross country at one of the area high schools, or just want a chance to see your "STRAVA buddies", here's an opportunity to get a few miles in. Run or walk this fairly flat and easy 5k that starts and finishes at Mt Olivet UMC in Manteo.  

The race route is really simple: starting at the parking lot of Mt Olivet UMC, runners run on Lord Essex towards Devon Street; take a left on Devon; right on Wingina; stay on Wingina past the high school; right on Scuppernong; then a left on Mother Vineyard, following it until it loops back to Wingina; left on Wingina; back past the high school; left on Devon; right on Lord Essex; finishing where you started.  Route is 3 miles.
