Pink Bra Run

PINK BRA RUN/WALK/RIDE 2024 What is the Pink Bra Run/Walk/Ride you might ask? Picture in your mind 500 participants who show up in decorated bras to either...Run or Walk 5K along the Mississippi River levee with the beautiful New Orleans skyline in the background.
Or Ride a Bike 8 miles from the Algiers ferry landing on a meandering scenic route, through Federal City & Algiers Point, joining the Pink Bra Runners to party like a survivor at the Rivershack in Old Gretna.
If you are familiar with New Orleanians and their costumes, then this Pink Bra Run/Walk/Ride is sure to be a sight.  Teams are encouraged with a Minimum of 3, Maximum of 10.  Come out and enjoy...even the dogs wear bras! All proceeds benefit Tulane Cancer Center's breast cancer research efforts.

 

EVENT DETAILS
Run/Walk: Starting at 8am in Old Gretna near the Mississippi River levee across from the Rivershack, the Pink Bra Run offers one of the most beautiful views of the New Orleans skyline. Race starts at 8am at the Gretna ferry landing. Show up in running gear or in costume – remember, this is a Pink Bra Run/Walk …so bedazzle that bra and lets go for a memorable stroll. There will also be a Best Decorated Bra Contest.
Bike Riders: Starting at 7:30am at the Algiers ferry landing, bicyclists take a 8-mile leisurely scenic tour, downriver to Federal City, through Algiers Point, ending at the Rivershack in Old Gretna. Ride starts at 7:30am at the Algiers ferry landing.  Like the runners, be sure and costume up. You might even win the Best Decorated Bra Contest.
TICKETS 
Online Regular and Race Day Registration is available until April 20th 7:30am.  In Person Race Day Registration is available at the Race or Ride Starting Places.
Adult: $40. Race day fee is $45.
Youth: (13 years of age and younger) $25; Race day fee is $30.Family Tickets are available for 2 Adults and 2 Youths for $110. Race day fee is $135.

BIB PICK-UP/REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN
Runners: Check In / Bib-Pickup and Same Day Registration will be outside the Rivershack from 7am to 7:30am. Race start time is 8am.
Riders: Check In and Same Day Registration: Please arrive at the Algiers ferry landing no later than 7am for the 7:30 start time.

T-SHIRTS and MEDALS
Each participant will receive a T-shirt at Check-In and Medal at the Finish Line. Be sure to order your T-shirt size at registration.  T-shirts may not be available for Day Of Registrants.
RUNNER AWARDS
There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finisher award for both male and female runners overall. There will also be a 1st place youth, male and female (13 years and younger) award.  There will a Team Award for the Best 3 Running/Waling Times on the Team; remaining team times will be eliminated.
POST RACE EVENT
Traditional red beans & rice, jambalaya, beer and refreshments will be served to all race participants. Awards will be presented and the best decorated bra contest will be held. This is all followed by music and dancing at the Arch.
PARKING
On street parking is available near the Start of the Event.
EVENT ORGANIZER
Krewe de Pink is a 501(c3) organization made up solely of volunteers whose mission is to raise money and awareness for breast cancer prevention and cure research.  We are dedicated to producing events with New Orleans flair so our participants will experience an event like no other.  Each year Krewe de Pink hosts unique fundraising events including the Pink Bra Run, Death by Chocolate NOT Breast Cancer, and the Krewe de Pink Prom.
