Hello!

Thanks for signing up for (or at least reading about) the Phoenixville XC Tree Tangle at Yeager's Farm and Market. We're THRILLED you're here!

First thing first, the PXV XC TT is about making memories while having fun, raising money for great bike-centric programs, and literally bringing the bike community together!

We want to take this moment to say THANK YOU to our gracious hosts: the Yeager Family, for hosting what will surely be an EPIC event! Be sure to say “hello”, stop in their market, and plan your return visits throughout the year because they have a TON of fun events they throw each season. There's literally something for everyone.

This event would not have been made possible without the help and support of our friends from across the region: John Miller from MASS, Scotty Roberts and Maria Dziembowska, and THE Blake Tart the Grand Maestro of so many bike things! A very special thanks to all of our sponsors and
the MKOB board members, committee members and volunteers who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to create this awesome event!

While this race is NOT a MASS race, we are leaning into the rules and guidelines that so many of us are familiar with when it comes to XC racing. Therefore: lets chat about some important stuff:

Racing Age  – for all racers including Juniors – Racing Age is determined by your age on December 31st of the current year. To explain –  for classes like Under 19, the racer CANNOT turn 19 in the current race year.  Same for Under 15, the racer CANNOT turn 15 in the current year. Parents – please take note of this when registering your juniors for races.

Race is light rain or shine only. Refunds are ONLY available to those who purchase the optional refund insurance.
NO INSURANCE = NO REFUND if we have to postpone or cancel the event.

In the event of postponement, an announcement will appear on the More Kids on Bikes website and social media channels by 6:00pm, Saturday August 3rd. 2024.

Proceeds of this race event will go towards supporting programs to get more kids and adults on bikes and keeping them there! Monies raised will go towards supporting:The Phoenixville Bike Park Annual Improvements Campaign.Local and Emerging Trail InitiativesThe Camphill School Transition Program at Beaver Farm Bike CoalitionAND… Youth MTB Teams spanning the quad-state region!
Thats RIGHT!
NICA Coaches and Student-athletes from PA, DE, NJ, MD will earn back 10% of their registration fee for their NICA team ($4.00 per coach, $3.00 per athlete).
Upon registration, be sure to add your NICA Team in "TEAM" to get credit.
BUT Thats Not All!

NICA members: *When you pick up your race plate at the registration tent, you will be given a raffle ticket to fill out for a chance to win a new Specialized Rockhopper for your NICA team!
We'll pull that ticket at 3:00 That day- We'll contact the winner and make arrangements for delivery.
The NICA team may do whatever they like with their new bike: Their own raffle, use it for their fleet, or donate it to a student athlete.

More Kids On Bikes will tally the totals and donate the monies back to the teams up to 60 days after the conclusion of the PXV XC TT race. Small print: You must register your NICA team upon signing up. We can not honor retro-registration requests. More details to come, stand by!
*Please note, this is NOT a NICA race.

Like we said, this isn't MASS but it's helpful for us to lean into the

MASS Race Rules to help prevent utter chaos our first time out: .

Check it out: HERE. Please review them.

This is the most important part, this is a fun thing!
Yes, we can race, and be competitive, and challenge ourselves and our siblings.
Whatever your reason for coming out:
Be Kind. Be Helpful. Have Fun.
We're providing plenty of that stuff on our end, like ample parking,
a plethora of race categories to choose from,
there will be unique medals, prizes, and surprises.
We will have Food and Dessert Trucks (Vegan options too!) , Vendors, DJs,
Adventure Zone, Kids Mini Race, a Tasty Beer Garden!
STICKERS and SWAG and MERCH, OH MY!
You don't want to miss this race..
Come be part of the Inaugural Year

PAYOUTS
For this first year, payouts for Endurance Men, Women, NonBinary, and Pre-Elite Cat 1 Men, Women &  Non-Binary Categories may not be what competitors are used to from other races. But we do plan on a cash award for at least top three spots. Of course we will have medals and fabulous prizes (we're not animals)-
We are hopeful for an awesome turnout,  which will allow us to be bolder next year! (Stand by for details.)

COURSE MAP

Each lap is approximately 4.5 miles. The course winds through and over the rolling hills of the Yeager's Tree Farm property. The course contains grass single track, double track, a bit of gravel road, tight, twisty-turny tree-tangle single track through the shaded grove, log-overs, unique features, flattish sprints across farm fields, challenging climbs, speedy ventures through a “young” corn maze, up another hill, down a hill, up another hill, and down one more, and.. well, you get it.

Could/Did/Should we mention that each 4 miles boasts about… 465+ feet in elevation gain? ..YUP!
*Exact distance and elevation, and final map to be shared in the coming weeks.
This xc course will be fun, challenging and worth your participation. Whatever you think it might be, keep an open mind, because this course is bound to surprise the riders!
