Since its inception, Maybank Marathon Bali has become an acclaimed international athletic event, celebrated for its showcasing of Balinese culture, its natural beauty, and the hospitality of the people. It is the first and only marathon from Indonesia to be included in the official race directory of the Boston Marathon, and has earned international recognition from the World Athletics as an 'Elite Label' Marathon. The event has also been praised for its excellence, receiving awards such as being named one of the "Remarkable Races in the World that one must participate in" by The Active, one of "The 52 Best Races on Earth" by Runnersworld, the Best Marathon, and the Most Popular Sport Event by the Venue magazine.

The race begins and ends in front of Bali United Training Center in Gianyar, Bali. From there runners pass through the stunning scenery that is picturesque Balinese countryside and traditional villages. Along the route there will be marshals in traditional Balinese dress and its traditional music instrument, providing a very unique atmosphere.

Nice running event in a beautiful island with many awful culture attractions along the route.
If you seek to run in a scenic view with tons of volunteers who will cheers you up in a colorful dance costume, this is the event you've been waiting for. But you must be aware with the heat during the race, it feels like you run under the seven sun in total, very hot and humid as well.
It was my 3rd times running full marathon in Maybank Bali Marathon since 2015, 2016, 2018. Nothing much different since i join at the first time, you'll be fascinate with green rice field terace, balinese dancer, and warm crowd. The longer the distance, the more beautiful view to see. Be aware with the weather.
Its my first half marathon, i am glad to finished in bali.Good track,peoples,racepack collection,jersey. Waiting for 2019 bali marathon..
Good track,water station,village view
Race pack collection--smooth. Access to the race pack expo - traffic is jammed. Race route poorly lit in the morning. Cant see well on pot holes.
Scenic -different -extremely friendly spectators
